Return & Exchange policy

All products purchased from YASHICA are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. Exceptions for exchanges will only be made only for manufacturing defective products, and are considered on a case-to-case basis, subject to stock availability. 

Please refer to our Warranty Policy for full details, and visit our FAQs for answers to any questions you may have. 

For purchases made through YASHICA’s distributors, please contact them directly.

 

Exchange for Defective Items

If you believe that your product has manufacturing defects, including but not limited to dead pixels or focusing issues, please contact YASHICA at cs@yashica.com to request an exchange within 14 days of receiving the product. Please provide photo/video evidence, along with the warranty card (if applicable) and original purchase receipt/invoice, containing the date of purchase and product name.

 

YASHICA does not accept exchange requests made after this period.

 

If YASHICA determines that the product is defective and you are eligible to exchange your product, please follow the exchange instructions provided by YASHICA Customer Service to return your product, along with the original receipt (or gift receipt) and original packaging. The returned product should be in original, saleable condition. Products can be exchanged once only.

 

Unsuccessful Delivery

In the event of the first unsuccessful delivery attempt, you will receive an email from YASHICA, requesting you to contact us within three days to arrange redelivery. If we do not hear from you within this period, or if the arranged redelivery attempt is unsuccessful, the relevant products of your order will be considered as canceled, and you will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Refund Policy

For online orders made through our website or crowdfunding platforms, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Please think twice before placing the order.

Specifically for crowdfunding orders, shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.

 

For crowdfunding backers:

Kickstarter/Indiegogo contributions are pledges to help bring projects to life, unlike traditional purchases which are always an exchange of money for products and services.

 

On Kickstarter, backers are only charged if a campaign reaches its funding goal, and backers may withdraw their pledge at any time before the campaign ends.

 

On Indiegogo, backers are charged immediately but the platform allows refunds while the campaign is still active.

 

To request for a refund, please contact our customer support at cs@yashica.com, including your order details and a detailed explanation for a refund request. Our team is committed to addressing your concerns promptly.

General

This policy will be governed by the laws of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong.

YASHICA reserves the right to refuse refund & exchange if a warranty card (if applicable) and/or original purchase receipt/invoice containing the date of purchase and product name cannot be provided, or the information contained is incomplete or altered without YASHICA’s authorization.

*A small percentage of packages may be inspected by customs, causing potential delays.

**Estimated delivery times do not account for uncontrollable situations (e.g., customs holds or peak seasons) that may prolong delivery.

***Import duties, taxes, or customs clearance charges are not included in the purchase price.
**** YASHICA is not responsible for any shipping delays that are beyond control.
